Join our LBH experts for lunch, fundraising knowledge, and networking at our Launch & Learns!

  • January 22, 2026 – Good Words for Good Work: President and CEO, Linda B. Haley, CFRE, along with Writer in Residence, Dr. Eliza Sanders, GPC, will walk through the steps to creating a written case for annual support to provide a foundation for your organization’s annual fundraising work. We call it the Case for Why. You’ll learn how to get your colleagues on board, pull together a team, gather and discover the information you need, and write a document that will become the guiding star for your nonprofit.
  • April 23, 2026 – Mining Your Board’s Treasure Map! If you have ever wished your board members would provide more powerful fundraising assistance, then join President and CEO, Linda B. Haley, CFRE, and Senior Vice President, Dawn Miller, CFRE for this session! We’ll guide you through the treasure mapping process and provide strategies and tools to encourage the board to fully enjoy fundraising (aka, the love of people). You’ll also learn how to work each board member’s personal treasure map, helping them mine their contacts to find potential donors that may have interest in your nonprofit and mission. You’ll learn the ways you and your team can light a renewed fire in your board member’s hearts, sparking new willingness to participate in philanthropy, and light the way to even more hidden treasure!
  • July 21, 2026 – Campaigns—Pulling Back the Curtain: Capital and Comprehensive Campaigns are feared to be big, hairy, and scary. They are not! They are wonderful opportunities for your nonprofit to grow loyalty and engagement with your donors; grow capacity of both your mission, programs and services to the community; and grow the capacity of your development department. Campaigns are an exciting time in the history of your nonprofit. Strong organizational infrastructure is necessary to ensure a successful campaign and that oh-so-important infrastructure cannot be taken lightly and does not happen overnight. When your CEO and board start talking about the possibility of a campaign that will enable your nonprofit to fulfill its long-term strategic plan, building a successful runway must begin now. Join Vice President of Campaigns, Yvette LeGear Hartsfield, MA, CAP, CFRE, and Senior Consultant, Diane Bauhof, CFRE as they guide you through the process of identifying essential elements and tools needed for a slam dunk! Enjoy lunch, learn about campaigns, ask questions, receive a tool you can use to assess your organization’s campaign readiness, and start building a plan for victory.
  • October 8, 2026 – Inspiring Event Donors to Become Committed Annual Donors: You spend hours to plan an entertaining, engaging, and successful fundraising event. Then what? Often times we move onto the next activity or event without a thought or plan to further engage event donors. Vice President of Campaigns, Yvette LeGear Hartsfield, MA, CAP, CFRE, and Senior Consultant, Diane Bauhof, CFRE will share real life tools (and a few stories) for inspiring your event donors and determining strategies (yes, more than one!) for moving a donor from transactional giving to truly engaged with your mission. You’ll learn how to inspire donors who come not only to your amazing events but also give annually and become committed to your nonprofit year over year.

Attendees will earn 1.5 point of Continuing Education Units towards a CFRE at each session. All sessions are held in-person from 11:30am-1:30pm at the LBHYou Training Center. Fee to attend is $30/per person, which includes a boxed lunch and the 90-minute program.
